Boxify is a word puzzle that can be played on any computer or smartphone. It is also known, for example, as Letter Boxed or Letterly. A puzzle consists of a box with 12 different letters. You have to put these letters together to form words. Sounds easy? Here's how it works: Every day at midnight, all players receive the same set of letters and can use them to form words with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 11 letters until you have used all the letters once. The fewer words you need, the better - 2 words is the minimum and usually difficult to achieve (but possible every day!). Note, however, that each word must start with the letter that the previous word ended with, and you cannot connect 2 letters from the same side directly. Have fun!

Boxify RULES

Start the game by discovering your first word, connecting the letters and pressing “Enter”. The next word then begins with its last letter. Your aim is to have used all of today's letters at least once with as few words as possible. Words must be at least 3 and a maximum of 11 letters long, and each letter & word can be used several times (but each time counts as an additional word). You have 24 hours from midnight every day to solve the puzzle in as few words as possible before a new challenge appears. All players see the same letters every day!

Consecutive letters must not come from the same side of the square. For example, if the “A” is next to the “M” on the upper side and you choose the “A”, then another letter must be used on one of the other 3 sides before the “M”!

With each word, your letter snake gets a little longer, as the last letter of a word must always be the first letter of another word. Here is an example of what this could look like: THATS > SUPER > RENT As you can see, the “S” and the “R” are the connecting letters here

Note that some words are not valid: e.g. words with hyphens, proper names, swear words, particularly obscure and exotic words, very technical words and invented words. Old English and regional expressions and ways of speaking are also not included. Please write us an email if you still find a word that you think should be included.

As soon as you have solved the game, you can simply copy your solution and share it with others, or compare it with our solution. By clicking on the menu items you will also find your personal statistics.

Think first

You search one word at a time - but if you want to get a really good result, you should plan ahead a little at the beginning. Look at today's letters and think about which word you could enter second. And then think about whether you might want to start with this word.

Note the rare letters

If you see rather rare letters at the beginning, or letters that are usually not at the beginning or end of a word, then you could try to form words in which these are in the middle - so that “simpler” letters get the space at the very front or very back and can be connected more easily.

Start small
🎲
Solving the puzzle in 2 words is possible every day with different combinations, but anything but easy! So be fair to yourself and set yourself the goal of completing it in 3 or 4 words. And if you're just starting out, then go for it. You'll see - it gets easier every day!

Why is it so difficult to solve the puzzle in 2 words?

Many players find solutions in 4 or 3 words with a little practice. But the ultimate goal is to create a solution in 2. However, it is statistically difficult to form such a 2 answer from all the letters around the square, as this may well require very unexpected words.

Why is my word not found?

This means that the word has not yet been included in the large database. There is only one list for all players. For Boxify, several hundred thousand of the most frequently used words in “everyday life” were added by an algorithm. This may mean that your theoretically perfectly legitimate word, or a certain form of a word, is not accepted. If a word is missing, please let us know by Email :-).

Can I continue playing later in the day?

The words you have already found are saved, just like your statistics. At least as long as you do not delete your cookies & your history. Therefore: Yes! You can start at breakfast in the morning and pick up where you left off after work.

Can I share my results?

Your final result can be copied with one click so that you and other players can easily compare your solutions and discover a previously hidden solution to today's puzzle in each other's games.
